Admission

Admission Policy

In the admission of students, St. Mary of Czestochowa School does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, or national origin. The school does, however, give first priority in admission to siblings of students already enrolled in the school and to children of parishioners of St. Mary Church. Then, admission consideration is given to Catholic students who are not parishioners of St. Mary Church, and, lastly, to non-Catholic applicants.

Registration of new students entering Pre-kindergarten through grade 8 takes place during Catholic Schools Week in January/February. Interested applicants should contact the school office by mid-January for dates and times of registration. Re-registration for students currently enrolled in St. Mary School takes place in April.

Requirements for Admission

New Pre-school and Kindergarten students must reach the ages of 3, 4, and 5 respectively on or before December 31. At the time of registration for all applicants, age must be verified by a birth certificate, and Catholic students must also present a baptismal certificate. State law requires complete primary immunizations and a health assessment prior to entrance into Pre-School and Kindergarten; the same is required of transfer students in all other grades..

Students seeking admission to Kindergarten and any other grade (1-8) are required to complete a readiness screening or academic inventory test.

Parents/guardians of students who are transferring to St. Mary School from other schools must complete all necessary forms and provide copies of a student’s academic and health records before he/she will be admitted to classes.

There is a non-refundable registration fee of $50.00 per family for all new students, payable at the time of registration.
